Last month we closed out a very productive year. A year filled with passion, hope, and unity. As I joined the board of LAOE in January of 2011, little did I know I was going to be inducted into both an organization and a family. One that supports, encourages, and empowers each other. As I got promoted to the position of Program Director over the women’s department and health services, a sense of pride, love, and compassion overwhelmed me. We have accomplished so much this year and I am blessed to be a part of this transition. I believe we are in the beginning stages of a movement, one that began with love and will continue in love, one that will unify the Lao people for a greater cause to remember our past, unite our present, and to advance our future. I am honored and humbled at the same time to live to see this movement, but more fortunate to be a part of it.
