It’s that great, wonderful time of the year where we all come together to celebrate the hard work and success of 2012 while we raise our glasses and toast to 2013. “Happy New Year!”

You are all invited to party with LAOE and the Lao community at our annual New Year Celebration. We are so thankful for all the hard work and efforts from our community of volunteers and people who care dearly about our success. We will proudly award distinguished people special tokens of our appreciation.

Last year we awarded State Representative Keith Farnham the LAOE 2011 Person of the Year award for his dedication and commitment on helping the Lao Community. This year State Representative Farnham will be back to award the LAOE 2012 Person of the Year, Mayor of Elgin, Dave Kaptain. Mayor Kaptain has successfully fulfilled his campaign promise of making Elgin a great community for everyone, promoting diversity and creating opportunities for every resident to contribute to the advancement of Elgin. LAOE is very grateful for Mayor Kaptain’s initiatives to work with the Lao community as part of his plan to strengthen and unify all residents of Elgin. It will be a proud moment for the Lao community to present this award to a very deserving person.

We will continue to honor many more special contributors. Please come be a part of the giving and share with us the feeling of gratitude as we thank those who have helped our community grow.

We will also have great food and cocktails followed by entertainment by the Chicago Band.

We hope to have you all there for this special event. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to each and everyone of you and your families! Cheers!!!
